I have a 8 year old in which we are considering a new bat. We've about decided on the Easton Stealth, but we are debating if we should go with a 28" yellow -11 drop stealth or a 29" green -13 drop green stealth.

If the batter can swing the weight of the -11 drop bat, what are the pros and cons of going with the -11 drop over the -13 drop? Is the sweet spot larger on the -11 drop or the -13 drop? (or are they about the same?) Is the extra weight of the -11 drop adding more force to the hit the main difference, or are there other differences in the two drops?

The yellow stealth is a reg flex ( for basehitter not power hitter)and the green is a stiff flex( for quicker more powerful swing), but personally i think that at his age it wont matter to much. So then it depends on what weight and length feel comfortable to him.

first of all, the stiff flex and regular flex are only available in adult bats and senior league bats. the little league stealths dont have stiff and reg. flex. the -13 is good for bat speed, but it has a short barrel so there are a good amount of handle hits. the - 11 i think has more pop and obvioulsy a longer barrel. I did terrible with the - 13 but i started using a -11 and i had the best hits on the team. i am not a power hitter but i managed to hit the fence many times. get the yellow -11
