i was wondering what people thought about the big barrel one.

It's a great bat. It's weight is distrubited throughout so it has a nice balance to it. Our travel team has 4 of them right now no problems with any. I have seen 1 with a chip but foud out the kid was hitting rocks tossed in the air with it. It doesn't have the power that some have but it does have a huge sweet spot, that is a monster barrell.

Depends on your league. Do you play in a league that limits the bpf to 1.15 or not. There are some 1.2's out there still but there not approved for certain leagues. Combat seems to be the hot one right now they have a few 1.2's out there, www.combatbaseball.com . The new Miken Burn ESD just came out it has a senior League in a 1.2 so it depends, www.mikensports.com , I just picked my son up one of these. Some older bats from Louisville from a few years ago are hot as all get out, they were before the 1.15 restrictions and can still be used in a few leagues but most are dented or cracked so watch it.

But remember the bat doesn't make the player, the player makes the bat. My sons 2 1/4techzilla kills the 2 3/4 catalyst but the barrells so small he just doesn't have the skills yet to hit the sweet spot constantly. The catalyst on the other hand is a very forgiving bat for younger ones the barrells a monster so what would be a lil dribbler ends up a base hit. It just doesnt have the homerun power of an older non restricted bat. I'll update you on the Miken after a few games. We have the tripple crown tourney next weekend.

Just saw that you might be trying out the Miken. Just curious as to how it did. I have a happy trigger finger on that or a Catalyst.
