Broken Bat?

My 9yr old son has a TPX Armor for the past year and a half. One of coaches says the bat lost it's pop during his batting drills and showed me that when he lightly tapped the bat on the concrete floor, it sent a light vibration throughout the bat. He then proceed to show me one of the Nike bats with the same test , but with no vibration.
A few days later I threw a bucket at ball at my son and to me it went the same distance as before. Is the bat broken or on it's way to deterioating. Thanks for answer in advance!

i was told the more vibration you have in the bat the better it is.

The bat is definitely not broken, not unless you have an actual crack in it! Anytime you have a one piece bat, there is going to be vibration in the bat when you tap the knob on the ground! A two piece bat will not have any vibration due to the fact of the two seperate pieces!

that is not a real test different bats have different sounds and feels to them. just cause one vibrates more doesnt mean its beter or has more pop it just means that it had a different sound and that coach is a retard
