BESR means the Ball exit speed ratio. At every level with -3 a bat cannot exceed above the BESR. Cheaper bats are made with the BESR being lower than the top level. The more expensive bats are Reach the limit for the BESR. So all good bats are pretty much the same. It just depends on the players talent, durabilty, sweet spot, and feel of the bat.
