2011 Triton Feedback

Hey I'm at the Triple Crown World Series in Steamboat with my 9u team and have been checking out the 2011 Triton from the TPX tent. The bat looks cool and the barrel is a monster.

My son hits a Miken Freak and it is a really well balanced bat. My experience with the 2009 Triton was that it is end loaded and a slower swing.

Feedback on this one? I can get it at a great deal here if I want to tomorrow....

I haven't stopped thinking about that bat.

Anybody have any experience with it? Pros? Cons???

It's a a 3-piece bat, no matter how good the pop is, durability will always be suspect. The bubble zone has been problematic for the older models, honestly don't know if this has been corrected. For the record all the TPX teams we play use the EXOs & H2, very few kids even swing the tritons.

My 8 y.o. son was swinging the 2009 Triton (YB91T) the 2nd half of last season + playoffs without any durability issues. It worked well for him (more extra base hits vs his previous bat). About 3-4 of his fellow teammates used it also on a regular basis.

I was pretty impressed with the 2010 triton. Two kids on our team had them...they were every bit as good as any other bat on the team, better than most. Can't speak to the 2011
