Can someone help me choose a bat for my son!?

HI,

i have come here because i need a little help buying the right bat for my soon to be 10 year old. We have bought several and used several and his most success is right now with a 2006 Voodoo, but its beaten up...i want some suggestions on the best bat for me to get him for the 2010 season....im leaning towards a 2007 Voodoo, reg barrel, taht i found online....please help me, email me at grizpool@yahoo.com, THANKS!

My one kid's fav bats -
2007 DeMarini Voodoo - -11.5 drop
LS TPX Omaha XS Scandium - -12 or -12.5 drop (2004 and 2005 are -12 - 2003 and 2006 are -12.5).

The 2007 Voodoo - -11.5 drop - was the #1 fav. He was/is a skinny kid and needed a lightweight bat - and the Voodoo worked well for him. When he faced a faster pitcher, he often used the LS TPX Omaha XS Scandium.

Same kid also did well with Worth Wicked Insanity (-12) - and an Easton Z-Core (12.5).

We probably have over 50 bats (no exaggeration). I often purchase used bats at flea markets and garage sales. Also will purchase NOS bats at clearance. Kid had a large number of bats to try - and primarily used five or six different type of bats (brand/model) - and appeared to hit best with the bats listed above. He also began to use a DeMarini F2 - but it took some time before he became accomplished with the F2 and used it in games.

My little guy - played in 8 yr old league this past season. He primarily used a LS TPX Omaha XS Scandium - 28-16 (-12). He hit *extremely* well with this bat. He is also skinny - but stronger than his older brother (was at the same age).

If I/we were only able to pick only one bat - LS TPX Omaha XS Scandium - -12 version.

Sounds like you guys like Voodoo's, which is a great bat, so stay with it. I can tell you from experience if the little guy likes the bat in his hands, they will hit better. There are some great deals on line right now for the 2009 model.
