"After significant dialog and review of research collected during the Division I Baseball Championship, the committee is proposing an immediate and indefinite moratorium on the use of composite barreled bats," said a press release from the NCAA this morning.

I think now they have to vote on it. It was a recommendation for bats with composite barrels. Half and half bats with an aloy barrel wont be affected. I havent read anything yet that it has been voted on. So as of now, its just a proposal.
But look for bats clearance sales , I do!
