My 9 yr-old recently switched over to a B1 -10, (29/19) loves the bat and had
a great summer season with it. Fall Travel begins shortly and was thinking of
getting him a back-up B1 because of all the durability issues. I hope I'm not
overthinking, but was considering a -12 as a back-up as I'm sure he'll face
faster pitching in travel. Since this forum seems to have an abundance of
Combat users, (I don't see many in the NY area) I was wondering what the
feedback has been on the 2 B1 drops? durabilty, pop etc. I did notice the -10
has a longer barrel. tks

My son has used both 31 inch -12 and 31 inch -10 B1s. Performance is a little better with the -10 due to increased weight and sweet spot size. As far as durability, he as cracked two -10s and has not cracked the -12. I don’t know if this is typical of durability for the two weights. He has also had teammates that have 31 -12s with no cracking.

there's really not a difference in durability i have seen tons of both sizes break. you do get a 2inch larger sweet spot on the -10, if your kid can swing it you get a little more for your money.
