I was wandering if anyone has seen weather there is an advantage in the -10 over the -12 in the B2. I was going to buy my son a 30/18, but a guy at the ball park told me to get a 29/19 instead. I thought the -12s would be more balanced and the -10s more end loaded.

-10 has a longer barrel length, which should equal bigger sweet spot.

I guess what I'm saying is I was going to a 30" bat in a -12 but should I just stay with a
29" and go with the -10. I think a 30" -10 would be way to heavy. 10 year old 71lb. What are some opinions on this.

We tried the same in the B1, the 30/20 was to us a lot "hotter" and it did not feel "end heavy" at all to my son, last year he was 10yr/70lb now he is 11yr/80. The 30/20 just has a longer barrel and a bigger sweet spot, as someone else has mentioned. Good luck.

A Combat B2 31-19 has a shorter barrel length than a 30-20.

my son went from a 29-17 to a 30-20 with a choke up knob. He is only 8 and 76lbs and using it for machine pitch @ 42mph. He knocks the c&%p out of the ball with both of them but seems to come off the b2 faster. He switches bats depending on his mood with the b2 as his gamer. The b2 -10 is well balanced and seems to be getting hotter with use.

Definitely go with the -10. I recently bought a 29/17 B1 for my 11-year old (he's very small for his age - last night he played a 12u travel game against a team that had a set of twins, both of whom were well over 6'!), based on what he was then swinging, and having now watched him hit for 2 months, it seems like the bat is just too light. Incidentally, he has a 30-inch wood bat that he uses in the cages and kills the ball. Next in line is a 30/20 or heavier.

How tall is your son? My guy is 4'6" and 70lbs, very thin. We tried a 28 and that was definately too short for him. A 29/17 B1 is arriving today. I am guessing he needs a lighter-longer bat, but I may be wrong. Our league is kid pitch, if it was machine I would probably go with a heavier bat. Of course (this bat stuff will drive you nuts) my Son picked up a kids 29inch Stealth Big Barrel - I believe it was 20 or 21oz- and he knocks a nice shot to center field off a pretty fast pitcher. I could be totally wrong about the weight :(
