Looking for a cheap wood bat to use for my high school wood bat league and for batting practice. Nothing over $50 and preferably something I could get at a store instead of off line. Thanks for the help.

Rawlings bats (32 through 35 inch, by 2.5 inch barrel) retail around my area for $25 at Meijer. I have seen them at Kmart I think for only $20. Garage sales sometimes yield nice bats, but often little leage size (2.25 barrel). I just got a 35" 2.625" barrel Louisville Slugger in great shape at a garage sale for 50 cents--unbelieveable deal.

Blems at Louisville Slugger museum store are IIRC under $20 and pretty nice wood bats.

Nice to see folks playing in wood bat leagues. If I were king of the world, aluminum and composite (other than full wood barrel or bamboo) would be totally outlawed except that aluminum can make a nice fungo bat when you get a light weight one like -8.5 or so.
