Hey guys, could you help me figure out which bat weight, and size my son should buy.
He just turned 14 years old he is 120 pounds 5'6 in height.
He has been wanting the Voodoo for the longest time.
As a parent never knew that bats are so expensive. Any ways his birthday came up and we manage to raise the money for this bat. Could some one give us feed back on what would be the right size for him. The smallest size they have on a -3 Voodoo is 31-28, I just want to make sure he can use this size for a very, very, very long time.
Thank you.

Sounds like he has swung the bat, feels good with the bat and the size. I say go for it. You would be OK at 31" or 32". It is all about feel and confidence. Good Luck.

Closeoutbats.com has the 2008 Voodoo for $199. Justbats.com has the 2008 Voodoo Limited Edition for $199. 2009's are everywhere.

Wow that was fast. Thank you for taking your time to respond.
I was just worried about the sizes that the high school kids are using.
the Voodoo has three sizes 31-28, 32-29, 33-30. He has never owned a -3 bat before, but for high school he needs one. So I thought the 31-28 will be the best for him. I just want to make sure that would be the right size for later on. Like you say if he feels good with it that would be the right one. Thank you for also pointing out the different places that we can buy the bats at a good price.
Thanks again

I keep reading about different bats, but no one has talked about if the Voodoo 2009 -3 is a good bat to buy. Does any one own one, and can share the good and bad about it.
In your guys opinion what would be a better bat Stealth, TPX, or Voodoo and why?
Thanks.

well this question is really all about personal prefrence, but i like

1.) Voodoo
2.) Stealth Comp
3.) Tpx

I just don't like the exogrid made by tpx, i like bats that flex a little, like the voodoo.

Thank you. I was wondering if my son was the only one that liked the Voodoo.

Don't want to burst your bubble but Demarini hasn't kept making the Voodoo just because your son likes it.:):)

The Voodoo is a very good bat. The bigger thing is if your son likes it for the feel and the way he hits not because he thinks it has cool graphics or anything like that. There is nothing magic about any bat other than when it is the best tool your son can hit with. Then it becomes magic between the player and the bat.

There is no dout about it, my son likes the Voodoo and we are getting it. We saved up for it.
I was just trying to get feed back to see if people liked it or not.
It's true the bat is just a tool, but my son struggled with a Vexxum for what ever reason He could not hit the ball(pop ups, foul balls and so on)
His couisin let him have a 2007 Stealth which he has hit great, doubles and tripples but now he has to get a -3 bat. He always wanted the Voodoo, I'm just trying to see what people think about the bat.
Thanks again.

Sorry for the feeble attempt at sarcasm. They still make Voodoo because they are a very good bat. We see them in play during tournaments right now and we saw a ton of them last season. I had a Varsity son and a JV son. The high school will play 60-70 games year round in summer and fall along with the spring season. Both boys play travel ball as well. So we see or play in 100+ games a year and I would say that we see at least one Voodoo on every team we play.

The Demarini rep here is not too tight with our coach right now. We see Easton, Nike, Rawlings, etc. more lately so we have not really had any time with the 2009's but like I said, there is a reason they keep making them and it ain't because they are cute.
