My grandson is in coach pitch...weighs 92 pounds and hits home runs frequently...his dad and I purchased the stealth -13 bat for him and he did well with it but the coach thinks he needs a heavier bat...he has been using a 22oz. Louisville Slugger belonging to another kid....would like to buy a bat for Tournament play...when we got the stealth we figured it might be too light but took a chance on it and it was too light....need a suggestion for a 22 oz. for him to use at tournament play...already bought the expensive one..we use a pitching machine and the coach does not turn it up high enough to use the stealth...so can someone recommend a bat that he can hit with that is heavier than the stealth with a pitching machine.

definatly the demarini F3 the best youth bat ever made.it has great durability and pop. if they made them in -3 id buy one in a flash but they only make youth -10. this bat is also 30/20 31/21 and 32/22 which should fit him perfectly.

I'd definately go with the F3 also, but for a cage bat id buy a cheap bat or youth wood bat because cage balls ruin your bats pop and durability.

he needs more like a 20 oz. bbad mechanics come from too heavy of a bat.

Is he really staying in coach pitch? Seems kind of strange if he's that good and that strong.
I think the F3 is a great recommendation. A 30/20 will feel and swing more like a 22oz. I have a big kid on my team who I'd buy one of those for if I could afford to go around buying bats for other people's kids.
The Techzilla would also be one to try in 30/21. They also swing heavier than you'd expect and have a ton of pop in the right hands.

A 30-20 F3 will probably weigh 22 oz .... and swing like a 30-24.
.
When I was preparing a kid to move up to a F3 30-20, I found an inexpensive/low end 30-22 bat for him to swing - but it felt lighter than the F3 30-20.
We have a number of F2 and F3 bats. Great bat - but not for every (or most) kids. They are very durable - they will take continuous and extensive use - spring to fall - BP, cage, etc.
.
.
Yes - agree - should never use a good bat in a machine-pitch cage that uses the dimple balls.

just read that again ..... 'coach pitch' ......
.
assuming coach pitch is up to and including 8 yrs old (or so) .....
.
very very very few kids at that level will be able to swing a 20 oz bat well .... (with good form/mechanics) ...... and even less a 22 oz ..... regardless of the size/weight of the kid ....
.
and certainly not a F3 30-20 .... a 10-12 yr old kid at that weight - yes .... but 8 yr old kid - no .....
.
.
kid is better to swing the proper bat - and have the coach pitch the ball faster .....
