My 11 year old son cracked his Easton Stealth Comp (LCN 5) bat and I need to get him a new one. He's using a 31 in./22 oz. and is hitting the ball well with a couple of home runs on a 200 ft. field recently. He's 5' tall and about 100 lbs. He played Little League and travel ball (mostly USSSA) this season so he was limited by Little League rules to a 2 1/4" barrel bat. Following All Stars this season, he'll be playing exclusively travel ball so a 2 3/4" barrell is an option.

Given all that information, which bat(s) will give him the best overall performance? Which bats seem to have the most "pop" at this age level? Should we go to the 2 3/4" barrel or stick with the 2 1/4"? Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.

We just picked up the new Nike white senior composite bat. He had been using the combat senior virus bat. I have to tell you that we were completely surprised at the Nike bat. It was hot right out of the wrapper. We just got back from the first tournament we used it at. In 5 games he hit 8 hr's. There were 200 ft fences but these hr's were bombs. He is 12 year sold using the 32 / 24 one. He is a very good hitter as he has 40 hr’s between travel and LL baseball. He is about 115 pounds. The ball jumps off this bat. Hope this helps. By the way he will never go back to the Combat now... :)
