I get that you have to take into consideration their height, weight and age but doesn't that just give you an idea of where to start??
My 8 year old son is playing on the All Star team, he is very serious about baseball and I just want to give him the best equipment possible so the he can be the best he can be.
He has been hitting to the fence with his not so cheap DeMarini "Flash" 28in/17oz but the bat is several years old and I want to replace it. Although, the last couple of games he has fallen into a batting slump and I seriously hope it is not the bat. At least his awesome 3rd base skills keep him going.
Should I try a 29in or keep him at the 28in?? Should I go lighter, heavier, or same weight? How does the drop fall into play??? I already understand that it is the difference between the length and weight. Is more or less better???
Any help would greatly be appreciated.
Thank you!!
