I am looking at new bats for my 9yr. old player. His league does not allow double wall bats. I have narrowed it down to two composites, either the Combat B1 Dabomb or the new Easton Synergy IMX.
My first thought was that the Easton being new would be the way to go but reading this forum makes me think that the Combat B1 is still the way to go. The other concern with the Combat is availability. I will need a 30", -12.
Input would be appreciated.

One you need to get! It has way more pop then easton, bigger barrel and balanced. My second choice would be TPX triton.

I can only comment on the Combat. My son loves his. It is a 30/20 and he has hit very well with it. All-Stars started last night and the ball is just flying off that bat.

Well my son is hitting a Combat Virus 30/20....his all star team 8 of the 12 use his bat. The all star team we played tonight was mostly using the Combat b1, not sure of the size....I would say the top 7 batters for there team was using it...we won 11-7...in a head to head comparison. I know its not great comparison but its all I have right now....both teams are about 50/50 11-12 year olds...the Virus had 1 HR, 3 triples, 5 double, and 7 singles...the other team had 3 singles...I know I know how in the world did the other team score 7 runs on 3 hits...all unearned...pitcher hit 5 batters, and my son who was the catcher struggled with the pitchers breaking ball....go figure...LOL the main thing is they won and it should have been a shut out...gotta love kids...
Anyway I say the Virus was a better bat based on what I saw out of 2 all-star teams tonight

The b2 is coming out and you cant go wrong with either the b1 or virus. My son has both and he hits the b1 almost exclusively now.

Thanks to all for the feedback. Looks like we will go with either the B1 or wait for the new B2. Anyone know what if anything is improved in the B2?
