new akadema catapult

just recieved the new akadema catapult 29/17. has anyone used or seen one yet?

Pretty nice looking bat. My son swung it a few times and liked it. Still likes his Combat better. That's not saying it's better it's more of what the combat has already done to help him improve.

had batting practice today. was my first chance for the kids to use the new akadema catapult xtension 29/17. i bought the bat thinking we might need something a little lighter when we faced the pitchers with a little more heat. the bat has a loud ping like an aluminum bat, not a dead sound like a carbon one. the hitting area is on the small side compared to most bats these days(bat is basicallly shaped like a dynasty but has a fatter handle). bat had good pop. a few kids hit better with it than the andersons they have been swinging. i think the kids that hit better with it was more less because the bat is a little lighter. i do not think the bat has as much pop as the anderson pyrotech and not near as much as the tech. but i did think it was better than our stealths, catalyst, demarinis and all other bats we have. all and all i dont think it is any better than the last years model xtension it replaced. who knows maybe a month from now i will be more excited about it.
