My son just completed his junior year High School baseball season, he had a good year and just fell in love with an old bat in the team bag, it is the 2005 Louisville Slugger Omaha CB405, however it is the high school teams bat and he will not be able to use it for summer ball, I have been searching the internet trying to find this bat in a 33" 30oz, with no luck yet, could anyone tell me or let me know of some web sites where I could find this bat, or anyone who might have this bat that might be willing to sell this bat, it would be great if someone could help us out and we would be very grateful, also I have found it in the 2006 model CB406 but not sure it is the exact same bat, does anyone know if it is the same as the 2005

The 5 or 6 at the end of the model number refers to the year it was introduced. They are both Scandium alloys. No real difference

If it is a team bat that he loves, it is most likely broken in and has a great trampoline effect. You can read the technical stuff on this at by searching on 'Kettering.edu bats'.

Don't be disappointed if you buy a new one and it feels different or really tight. If you decide to buy a new one, put some tape on the bottom of the barrel and number it 1-6 equally around the ring. Keep rotating the bat while you collect 75 - 150 hits. Now you are approaching a broken in bat.

Good luck this summer!
