2006 Miken Freak

Anyone have any experiences with the Miken Freak? Good or bad, noticed it was 100% composite, just wondering how it performs.

My 13 year old son has a 32/24 Senior League Freak. Pros: lots of pop, large sweet spot, he really likes to use this bat. Cons: Weak structural design....he has cracked 2 of these...first one after 2 weeks of normal play, second after 6 weeks. Both cracked in the same spot where the handle starts to swell into the barrel. Not a small crack, the bat almost broke in half! Strange as it sounds, both were cracked in the cage with good balls & adult (slow) pitching! Fortunantly, Miken has replaced both, no questions asked. For a $200 bat, I expect better.

I had the same experience...Killer pop to begin with but just like the other post, after about 500 balls my 12 year old broke the first one and just under 500 balls he broke the second. Both have been replaced with no questions asked! I just got him the Demarini 2011 CF4 and it is far superior in durability and performance! I was suprised
