I have the 09 Louisville Omaha as a replacement and therefore cannot return it. I LOVE it. It has so much pop and it's an awesome bat. Problem is ever since I hit a home run my whole team tries to use it in practice and in games. I don't have a problem with games but in practice I do. This bat is going to be dead soon with all the use. It's already dented a little, I'm tired of trying to limit its use. So I'm looking into getting another not too expensive one piece bat. I know what the Omaha is like. I was wondering if anyone can tell me what the 09 Aero Torque and 09 Rawlings Plasma Gold are like compared with the Omaha.
Dsore do you know anything?
Thanks

Both are good bats. Aero Torque is going to feel closer to the Omaha but it is going to be different. Quality - I would go with the NIKE.
Remember, that Omaha is getting hot as it the trampoline effect is getting greater before it breaks.

dsore thanks for the response I have another question. Which has more pop the Nike aero torque or the omaha. I think I narrowed it down to those two but I don't know what the pop of the torque is compared with the omaha. I know the omaha has a ton of it.
Thanks.

The Omaha is probably hotter out of the wrapper but after 75-100 solid hits the Torque will be hotter. 106 for the Torque to 101 batted ball speed off the machine are the approximates mentioned.
The rep suggested putting a bit of medicine tape around the handle and put numbers on it. 1-6. Then cover a number with your thumb. Go up one number after each hit. This will aid in the breaking-in process.

OK thanks but one thing concerned me though I was reading a post on baseball-fever.com and someone said that the black and orange torque is better than the new red one and that the red one doesn't have as much pop. Is this true?
Thanks

my junior college i attend, bakersfield college, is sponsered by nike. the torque has a great amount of pop, however we cracked at least 5 of them and seriously destroyed them with spiral cracks, blasting off end caps, and barrel long cracks. most of this damage was done in cooler weather but i liked the orange more than the red. the only thing is, i cracked the orange but never did crack a red but the orange seemed to hold up better and have more pop.
ps-cant wait for that cx2 comp next year:p

I assumed we were talking the CX2, sorry. We have had a couple of rep bats (Shhhh!) and swing them a ton.
The orange was a better bat that most out there but the CX2 is a definite step up so far.

My oldest son has swung both a lot. Nike is more balance and the Easton is more end weighted to him. He is moving from a balanced bat (Catalyst) to the Easton Comp. He has been hitting some out in practice and put one out last game, about a 400' shot. This from a contact hitter but he is maturing and he swing is changing. He is 6'1" and 185 now.

wow no one has mentioned the new Rawlings Plasma Gold! beautiful bat, Im getting rid of it for the sole reason that it is too light, it held up to a power hitter for a high school season and a city league following it, and more... this bat has a lot of pop, but not reccomended for cold weather usage!! the hotter it is, thge larger the sweet spot! totally worth every dollar of the low, $299.99 price tag!! get one
