Does anyone have or know about the Personal Pitcher pitching machine. It throws mini wiffle balls which is good for training and is not expensive and can be used in the backyard so I don't have to drive somewhere and pay a lot of money to work on hitting. It sounds really good because it throws right and left hand curveballs and throws 55 mph fastballs (you can just get closer to make it seem faster). It sounds good and Chris Ritchard (played for Cardinals, now I think he is with Orioles) uses it, but I would like to have some feedback other than from the people trying to sell it. It is also good because it holds 50 balls (new model holds 100) and a light will come on when its about to throw the pitch (every 6 sec.). It runs on a rechargeable battery so it doesn't need to be plugged in and you don't have to have anyone feed the balls into the machine so you can use it by yourself. Just tell me if you've heard of it or used it and what you thought of it or heard about it.

I have one and I really like it alot. It easy to use and to set up. Throws very good strikes unless it is extremely windy! I have dropped this thing a couple of different times and nothing ever goes wrong with it! I would have to recommend this product to any that plays baseball! I als have a discount code on them for $50.00. If you are interested please email me at duked@insightbb.com and I will send you the code.

the personal pitcher shoots mini wiffle balls so that you have to hit the ball just right and it teaches you to see the ball better and hit it straight. Also, I am interested in that $50 discount. I saw the personal pitcher pro (the one that throws curveballs) online for 160 and the tripod would make it about 200 plus free shipping. Can your discount code be used for a specific website or what? I may sound like an idiot but I don't really get how you got a discount code or how and where I can use it. If you think it will let me buy it for less than 200 than post back and I will email you. thanks.

You Have To Be Careful With Those Mini Wiffle Balls. I Bought A Pack Of Those To Hit With My Easton Thunderstick (its A Bat With A One Inch Barrel All Along The Bat) I Used The Wiffle Balls To Do A Drill Where You Go On Your Knees Hold The Bat With One Hand Someone Throws It To You And You Hit It To Practices Hand Eye Cordination. But When I Hit The Ball It Broke Into Several Pieces. Then I My Bat Thinking That Was The Problem. I Used A Wiffle Ball Bat, I Did The Same Thing Hit The Ball And It Broke. So If You Dont Mind Them Breaking You Can Go Buy The Balls At A Dollar Store And Have A Friend Toss Them To You , Its A Lot Cheaper And It Probly Works The Same. Its Just An Idea.

Yup, i know exactly what your talking about. Me and my team do that drill, and it always happens so usually when they split we take the biggest piece and use that.

Virus,
I got an email from the company stating I could get the end of the year model for $50.00 so they can move inventory. I am not sure if it will work with the curveball one or not, all you would have to do is ask them:D . duked@insightbb.com

I think you must have been using some crappy ones, because I don't think they would make a pitching machine for balls that break every time. Especially if the ball is pitched at 55mph, there is no way it uses the same balls because they would shatter. Also, on the website for it they have this real video of Chris Ritchard using the machine and he hits the ball and it doesn't break. I just think they would have noticed a problem like that and figured out a solution, so I think I'm going to get the machine anyway. That's weird that they would make balls that would break so easily.

I have had mine for almost 2 years and have never broke a ball yet, we only use our regulat bats also! I have lost quite few though!:D

what was the purpose of that last post. all you did was act like a **** and waste your time writing it. you never said dollar store balls, you said I could get dollar store balls. besides, varsity01 was warning me about the balls. I don't want to have to have a friend pitch them to me because I want to be able to do it whenever I want. Also, its hard to throw a curveball or 55mph or consistent strikes with a mini wiffle ball, so I still want the machine. If the balls are not a problem, which I know they aren't, then I'm going to get it thanks for the feedback, those of you who actually contributed something.

Yeah, i never said i used dollar store balls, but you can get them at some stores if youd like. This machine does sound cool though, id like to know how the machine can throw curveballs with a mini wiffle ball in the strike zone.

yeah, its pretty amazing. I can understand how it throws curveballs, even though there is no way I can do it. Me and my brother play wiffle ball with full sized wiffle balls and real bats in the back yard. It is hard to throw a wiffle ball as hard as you can or put spin on it and still hit your spots or get it in the strike zone, but it is possible. I can throw a fastball with very good movement if you hold it the right way, and my best pitch is my curveball. It drops more than a baseball because you can put your fingers in the holes and really whip it off your fingertips. I can throw a slider the same way just putting side spin instead of topspin. I sometimes throw a cutter but have never been able to get it consistent. I know this sounds wierd but its actually really fun because it makes wiffle ball more like baseball except I can play in my backyard. Wiffle ball is gay when you just have someone tossing the ball. I think the pitching machine puts spin on the ball by having one whell turn faster than the other one. Its still amazing though. I think I'm going to order it today.

I found this one.

Less cheaper than the Personal pitcher and the tripod is included. Also, it can throw right or left curveballs. It can holds up to 48 balls. I don't know the speed it can reaches.
