Demarini 2008 DeMarini -13.5 DXVNL Vexxum Baseball Bat

Was wondering if anyone has had experience with this bat. My son is just about to turn 11 (about 5 feet tall, 90 lbs) and is currently using a Easton Stelth (29", 16oz). When I was in the store today, a salesman recommended this DeMarini - 30", 16.5 oz - any input would be appreciated as well as any other recommendations.

My son's a contact, not a powerhitter.

My son used this bat last year when he was 7 yrs old about 95 lbs 4 ft 6. He had many triples including the tournament winning hit-also this was his first year of baseball--He had never picked up a bat before last season--this was coach pitch little league ball.

Demarinis are excellent bats. Saw a kid use a half-swing to bounce the ball off the fence with a Vexxum at 10 yrs. old.
