I just purchased a brand new easton stealth off an online bat store and i took it out of the box and i swung it a couple of times and then i shook the bat just to make sure it was ok and i heard a small tinkling sound came from inside the barrel like a small piece of metal was loose. ive hit a couple of balls with the bat and it doesnt seem to be effecting its performance but i dont want it to get worse so i dont know whether to keep it awhile and see if the bat starts to have issues or should i just send it in and use the warranty for a new one? please telll me what you think

Well i would obviously call the company you bought the bat from and tell them your situation. If there is truely something wrong then that company should replace it no charge.

this is actually an oppurtunity. Why don't you use it a lot in the cage so that you get the feel for it and start getting used to it and then once you have used it so much that it looks like crap and its time for your season to start, send it in and get another one. I don't know whether you are playing right now or whether your fall season starts later or if you just play in spring or whatever, but unless it performs badly than I would use it and then get a brand new one when you start playing games.

Hi,

I use easton stealth for years now. I was one of the first to buy Easton stealth. I paid 700$ for a Stealth BST1 prototype. I still use this bat. SO, I know it very well.

Unfortunately, I have to tell you that your bat is broken. But, it's not the kind of failure that will affect the results. Maybe a bit but nothing you can notice. Unless you know this bat very well. This failure is called ''denting'' and it's covered by warranty. This problem is approximately 80% of all Stealth failures.

SO, like the other guy in an earlier post said: Keep it and play with it and change it before the warranty ends.

I've tried a lot of bats in my life and the easton stealth is the one I love most by far.

Do you have a stiff or regular flex?

Sorry for my english. I'm a french guy.

its a regular flex, and i used it in a game this past weekend and it peroformed fine, but i noticed that the rattling increased by a lot so im thinking of using the warranty. If anyone has any other opinions on the new status please help me out thanks.

Why would you pay 700 for a bat and why do you think that the rattling is caused by denting, and why did you put denting in quotation marks, eveyone knows what denting is? How can a french guy play baseball and why are you apologizing for your english?

i think rattling could be caused by denting because maybe if you hit the ball off the enc cap or around that area on the dents could cause damage on the inside of the bat also , but i decided what to do aynway, im gonna play out the season with this bat and then warranty it unless during the season it completely dies. Thanks for the help everyone

How can a ''french guy'' can play baseball? hhmmmm........maybe the same way you are!

And I paid 700$ because like I said it was a ''prototype'' and the 700$ is in ''canadian funds''. So, if you're smart enough (good question) you will probably remember that about 3 years ago, the ''value'' of canadian ''money'' was 1 dollar = 65 cents CAD. But I'm sure you knew this ''because'' you seem to be so ''intelligent''

First post here and a ''shitty head'' is messing with me! What a welcome! You don't have a ''second chance'' to give a ''good impression''. Maybe in your ''case'' the ''denting'' is located ''between'' your ''ears''!!!

the definition of intelligent does not include knowing the value of Canadian money 3 years ago. By the way, not all the people in Canada are French. I thought you lived in France, where I don't think they play baseball (of course I must be wrong because of the "denting" between my ears). Oh, and by the way, if 65 cents in canada was really one US dollar 3 years ago, then you still paid $455. I'm sure that I must be stupid and that that was actually a GREAT bargain, but I'm just no seeing it.

does it really matter how much a stupid bat cost
