My kid is nine.He has been swinging a Demarini vexxum 2and5/8 barrel,29in. -8.The bat is dead it has no pop in it now.He is a pretty good power hitter.What bat should I get want something with good sweet spot

-8 sounds heavy for a 9 year old. I really like the 29/-10's for the good 9 year olds. In big barrel, the catalyst, stealths (composite and aluminum), and vexxum are all nice. I do not know about the Combat.

If you really think -8 is the right weight, then exogrid, catalyst, or (-9.5) stealth.

Keep in mind the end-loaded vs. balanced. If you go for a stealth composite or vodoo, they swing heavier than the catalysts or exogrids.
