Do you use wood bats?

Always interested to hear who is using wood bats - what type of league are you in? How does everyone like using wood?

I am 13 years old and i am one of the all around player in Kimberton,PA. You mostly use wood bats for wooden bat tournaments. If you are interested in playing in a wooden bat tourney, and u live on the east cost ECTB has many wood bat tournaments.

My league has to use wood bats because a pitcher got killed when they used aluminum bats. The ball come off aluminum bats too fast. I just finished a 13-15 year old season and am going into American Legion Baseball.

I play in a 25+ Mens'senior baseball league in Wisconsin. We play with wood because it is the pure form of baseball. Aluminum bats have ruined baseball with thier increased exit speeds and extra long sweet spots. When you use wood, you must know your bat and hit the ball square and on the barrel or say goodbye to the bat. No "aluminum bat bloop singles off the handle"

If you must play with aluminum, I would highly recommend using a wood bat for BP because it will teach you to hit better and make you even better with aluminum.

I'm in midget league in Canada, which is 15 to 18yrs we started using wood 2 years ago because of rules changes. It makes for a better game, you're more selective a the plate no more aluminum bloops single, hit are actually good contact on the ball. Everyone wouldn't go back to metal bats. Anyways if you're going to go anywhere in baseball you'll have to learn to hit with wood so why not start when you're young.

I'm in high schol and everygame this summer is a double hedder. One game is metal bat game and the other is wood.
