I am just guess but I would assume that is was made during Bench's playing days in th 70's. I have a Jackie Robinson model myself.

You can get a customer service number for Louisville Slugger company on the web. Punch in the number for the warranty info selection and ask them when the bat was produced. Have all the info from the bat including size. BTW, is is little league size or an actual adult baseball bat?
