2 3/4 barrel vs. 2 5/8 barrel

Has anyone experienced any difference between 2 3/4 and the slightly smaller 2 5/8 big barrels? Sure doesn't sound like 1/8 inch would matter much, but perhaps every little bit counts. Have been looking at the '08 Exo -8.5 but its only 2 5/8. Any help would be appreciated.

Also does anyone know of a difference between the 07 Catalyst (blue) and 08 Catalyst (green)? Big price differential between the two all of a sudden. If I say no to the Exo for my 9 yr old, then leaning toward a catalyst.

The difference is the color, they're both X-1 composites look at the label. Go here http://www.justbats.com/products/listview.asp?g=32&l=212 and get the blue one on clearance for $169.99. The reson for the price difference is it's the newer model......

The exo is an overhyped POS! It is the same bat as the Omaha but LS marketing decided to cut some diamonds out of the handle and add some carbon and over sell it! The carbon does not do anything different than what the plain handles on the Omaha do! Great marketing idea, still a doody bat!
