I just ordered the demarini voodoo and it says its for power hitters...that being said im about 5'10 5'11 135 pounds...does that make me a power hitter ? is the bat still good even if im not a power hitter ? or am i better off going with the vexxum ??

THATS WHAT I SAID! I've been asking the same question for about 2 weeks. I wanted to get the 06 voodoo but people said it was for power hitters because it had an end-loaded feel. Only fastball has said it would be good for contact hitters. no one else responds to my questions. I assume you have the same doubts about the voodoo. You said you were 5' 10", 135 pounds. How old are you? I am 5' 3", 103 pounds, so I'm definitely not a power hitter. I will probably get the voodoo if I knew it didn't have an uncomfortable feel. Tell me your age and how far you usually hit the ball. What size bat do you use? If you get it, tell me if you think it would be fine for a contact hitter, and whether it has a strange or heavy feel. good luck. :) ;) :)

im 14 turning 15 in augest. I usually hit it 300 to 325 if i get a pretty good swing. I use a 33/30 but since the voodoo is a little heavier i got it in a 32/29. Before i bought it i used it from a kid on my team even if your not a power hitter its still a sweet bat so dont worry about your size. Are you looking to get it in a -3 ?? how old are you how far do you usually hit it and what size bat do you have now and what model ??

thanks

last season I used a 31/28 but I have worked out and am comfortable with a 32/29. Right now I have a 2006 Air Dynasty. It has pretty good pop, but I haven't used the voodoo or really any other good bats in 32/29 so I can't compare. With a good swing and the right trajectory, I can hit the ball about 250 without a lot of effort, and my max would probably be about 265-275. So you say the voodoo feels heavier? less bat speed/bat control? I don't want to go back down to a 31/28 because I can't cover the plate very well, but since I just switched to a 32/29, I'd rather it had a light feel so that I didn't lose bat speed in the transition to a bigger bat. I am also thinking about the 2007 CXN Comp and the 06 Plasma. Should I get the voodoo, or should I get the air dynasty? which of those others would be a better alternative. thanks.

Yeah the voodoo is a little heavier which causes less bat control, but you should deff look into the cxn comp its probly the best out of what your looking at getting. My friend just got the 06 Plasma and he doesnt play baseball on a team year round he plays with some kids playin soft-toss and within a week or two he dented the bat. Even tho it dents extremly easily its a good bat in terms of pop and sweet spot if you dont mind taking it back to rawlings for a new one like every 2 weeks. Anyway...since you dont want to go back down to a 31/28 i wouldnt get the voodoo. go with the cxn comp.

Do you have a price range on the new bat your getting or not ??

thats too bad. anyway, I don't want to exceed $200 by that much. I found a voodoo online for 230, but i wouldn't want to spend much more than that, unless I can find a really good deal on a really good bat like an exogrid or something like that, which isn't going to happen. right around 200 is about what i'm looking at though, thats why the plasma and cxn comp appealed to me. and the air dynasty i found for 200. thanks for the help :)
