if you think the vexxum is the best, that bat is horrible. The best bat currently is the louisville catalyst, but when the combat virus comes out get that.

I would have to say the Nike Fuse is the best bat out there. It has a lot of pop is very balanced and you never feel any vibration. I have heard the vexxum has too much flex and it feels like you loose your barrel during a swing.

I searched the net for two solid weeks trying to figure out a good bat to buy my 15 year old son. All the kids on his team have voodoo's, exogrids, stealths....you name it. I found a great deal $87.00 on an Easton CXN Redline -3 BT360 32/29 and after reading nothing but good reviews decided to buy him one. After two at bats and two doubles to the fence fresh out of the wrapper, almost every kid on the team started using his bat, my son makes good contact but is not known as a power hitter, he's a pitcher. The bat has great pop, great balance, awesome feel and you don't have to pay 400 bucks to see your kid knock the heck out of the ball. I have since bought three more Redlines off ebay for kids on his team because they like the bat that much. I'm sold on that bat and so is my son and alot of his teammates.

the nike earo fuse isnt balanced well. it is balanced close to or worse than the exo, vexxum and stealths. the best balanced bat ive seen is the rawlings plasma gold, and second best the combat virus.

Omaha is the best bat for the price, but the best bat around is the exo no doubt

Look at the responses. Different opinions. What is best for one, is not best for all. Bats are made of different alloys, composite, half-composite, etc, etc, etc. But all must adhere to the same BESR and BPR standards. So at the end of the day, their performance is not all that much different. The best bat is the one that you like, and you can swing effectively.

I couldn't agree more, I have spent alot of money on bats over the years looking for that magical "pop" and have discovered most of the high end bats from companies like Dimarini, Easton, Louisville Slugger, Miken, you get the point, are all pretty equal, just comes down to how much money you want to spend for similar results. The $200 Vexxum works for me as well as the $350 Rush composite. I have not used the Air EXO Grid though, cant bring myself to spend $400 on a bat. Heard its the best out their.

You have to swing them and see what you like. After that, check out what kids are swinging when they have the choice. Our Varsity and JV teams have Vexxums, Voodoo's, EXO, EXO 2, Fuse's, Rush, Eastons, etc. Given the choice, the Demarini CF3 gets used about three times more than anything else. It is double-walled, sounds horrible but it really is the most popular bat I have seen on our team and in our league. Not the one that everyone has but the one that gets swung the most. I have yet to hear of one that has dented or lost its 'pop'. Kid on our JV team had an Easton CNT that sounds like it is full of glass and the CXN piece is barely hanging on.

Composites are popular because that even though they have to meet the same standards as other bats (BESR), the companies can 'tweak' how the composites react to the ball and their weight distribution better than they can with the Alloy's. Nike is wrapping an extra layer of composite material around the sweet spot on the CX2 to improve durability and increase the trampoline effect.

Do your homework before you buy and SWING them first!!!

Nike introduces the new CX2 this weekend or shortly thereafter. Rawlings has rolled out the Rush Lite. The current versions will be coming down in price. I can get the Rawlings Rush for $199 right now and the Fuse will be there soon.

well its true that a 400+ $ bat would boost your confidence, but if you cant hit with it then its useless. composite is great i love it, and i would recommend the CF3, but for little league but them a nice solid 30 buck bat, learn to hit then buy your shiny bat.

for the vexxum people, i gotta say that if it work for you just be happy, l but its way to flexy for me.

for the easton people, im not a fan of flex when i swing this bat and the weight feel funny, and again if you could hit with it be happy.

in the end LEARN THE BASIC!!! good equipment and trend are totally different, it took me about a month and dozen of sporting good stores to decide on the bat i want. and yet i still play with a 40$ glove and the cheapest nike metal cleat i can find :)

So get out and play baseball, not pay...

AND STAY OFF THE VALCO JUICE!!!

It is BALCO juice, BTW.

Use what you like! The equipment is only as good as the guy using it.

I did see the red CF3's are dropping in price. The CF3 Black is out next week. Justbats.com had the red's for $229 or thereabouts. Great lesson in this. It may be the latest, greatest today but there is always something better tomorrow.

The rep brought one out last night for my son to try. After one go around on the team it had a nasty crack in the barrel. Just some FYI.

They all loved the V-Grip on the bat and will probably use the wood V-Grip this summer in the wood bat leagues.

I'll admit, the plasma gold is balanced well, and has good pop, but it has horrible durability!!! I've gone through 2 already and it's not even halfway through the season! If anyone knows how long the pop lasts in the 08 vexxum (dxvx5), please tell me. Thanks :)

Get the one that you like best!! The bat is a dumb, non-living instrument. You are what makes it go, so get the one that you like. Wood, alloy, composite, whatever. Once you get past the bat, then you can concentrate on what really is happening when you are at the plate.

ps. Read the posts, everyone has their favorite, get yours.
