My 9 year old needs a new bat. I've narrowed it down to Dynasty or Techzilla. He has a sound swing with good power, but I'm a little concerned about the heavier, end weighted Techzilla. Anyone had any issues transitioning a kid to the feel of this bat?

Also, any recommendations on the best prices?

My son is currently 9. He will be 10 at the end of the month. However, he has an 07 TPX Dynasty 30/16.5. This has been a great bat for him. It was his first 30 inch bat. It took him a little work on mechanics but he gets it around very well and it's been very reliable. Sorry I don't know much about the techzilla. I'd be interested in hearing about it. I'm also interested in an end waited bat, but the dynasty works very well for now.

The bat rocks. I have one I'm about to put up for sale on ebay it's a 29"/20oz (20.9 on a postal scale) It's only been used in a few coach pitch games. If your interested let me know and make an offer.

My son is a small 10 year old and was swinging a -13 havoc. Went to the techzilla 30, 19 and he hit the ball well with minimum K's (most k's from looking, let me know if you find a bat to help that!!). You would be pleased.

Catalyst -10 2 3/4" barrell is the best youth bat for 8-10 year olds in my opinion.
Is it just me or does anyone think it's CRAZY for an 8-10 yearold to be swinging a 29 or 30" inch bat WOW

I think they should swing the bat the can hit the best. My son is 8, just turned 8, but he is 4'7 and weights 85lbs, and I have him swing a 29/20 techzilla and a 29/19 combat virus, and sometimes I let him swing a 28/17.5 Miken ESD 2 3/4 bat. He hits them all well.

Easton makes nice bats, but in now way do they compare in performance to the Andersons, Combats, Mikens.
